Ill
Advised
first
found
hardcore
in 1992
at the
tender
age of
11 via
the gift
of
pirate
radio
stations..
He was
captured
by the
totally
different
sounding
music as
played
on
stations
such as
cyndicut
FM. From
here he
made it
his
mission
to find
as much
of this
music as
he
could!
Forward
to 1996
and his
first
set of
decks
are now
on the
scene,
jungle
is the
order of
the day
and the
record
collection
is
kicking
off.
Until
1998 he
is
buying
mainly
jungle/drum
and bass
and the
odd bit
of happy
hardcore,
then his
first
trip to
Pure
Science
at
Atomics
in
Maidstone
turns
him into
a pure
D+B head
and it
stays
that way
until
2001
when he
feels
the
music
lost the
feeling
he so
much
loved.
Where to
go now?
Back to
the old
skool!
In 2003
he sets
himself
up a
very
modest
home
studio
and
finds
www.backtotheoldskool.com
where
there
are
producers
making
tracks
in the
old
skool
style
that he
loved so
much as
he was
growing
up.
'Hardcore
Breaks'
is now
bigger
than
ever and
going
from
strength
to
strength.
He aims
to be
part of
this
amazing
scene
and to
help it
grow -

Aike
Aike
first
got into
the
hardcore
sound
around
89/90 by
listening
to the
Essential
Selection
on Radoi
1. He
then
heard a
few
tunes in
this
style at
a local
club and
found
himself
wanting
more.
Next
stop was
Distorsionz
in 91, a
club in
Mile
End,
East
London,
followed
by
various
bigger
raves
and
illeagal
parties.
The
highlight
of these
times
for him
was 'Raindance'
- ' Big
Bad
Head' on
new
years
eve
91/92.
After
this
Aike
felt the
music
was
changing
and
decided
to take
a break
from it
all
He then
found
himself
getting
into
Drum and
Bass and
Breaks
for a
while
but
found
that he
did'nt
like the
way
these
scenes
were
progressing
and so
decided
to dig
out his
old
skool
hardcore
records.
Then one
day he
stumbles
across
www.backtotheoldskool.com
and
finds
producers
writing
new
tracks
with an
old
skool
hardcore
feel to
them.
This
made him
want to
do the
same.
He has
not
looked
back and
so has
been
producing
tracks
in the
old
skool
vein
ever
since,
well his
own
particular
take on
the old
skool
sound
anyway!
Prime
Movements
Bristol
based
producer
Prime
Movements
has been
into
dance
music
since
1990 and
discovered
hardcore
in the
spring
of 1991.
Aged
13/14 he
was too
young to
attend
any of
the
raves
happening
at the
time but
got more
and more
into the
music
through
swapping
tapes
with
friends
at
school
and
listening
the
various
dance
music
stations
of the
era.
As the
years
passed
he kept
listening
to
hardcore
as well
as other
genres
of music
such as
house,
progressive
and
trance
but
after
1994
lost
interest
slightly
and
began
looking
back
nostalgically
to the
golden
years of
the
music,
91 - 93.
He
always
thought
what it
would be
like to
try and
recreate
early
90's
breakbeat
but it
wasn't
until
1999
that he
first
dabbled
in music
production.
One he
had
started
there
was no
stopping
him! He
now has
a fair
collection
of
Hardcore
breaks
tracks
that
will
hopefully
be due
for
release
in the
near
future!

Henrik
Helenius
aka
Henry
Burner
has been
into
dance
music
for the
last
decade.

started
in the

form
hardcore,

on basic

Under
the

recorded
techno,

His
music is
not
extremely
experimental
or
soundwise
ground
breaking
but
deep,
hard
hitting
and
instinctive.

during
1999 -

collaborated
with
other

radio
techno

Science
project
was
formed
in 2004
as a
mere
nostalgic
experiment
to
revive
the 1993
experience
when he
first
encountered
the old
skool
sound.
1st
Science
has,
according
to what
many
people
have
said, a
typical
1991
sound
which
happens
to be
his
favourite
year for
the
music.
